We identify the needs of poor and underprivileged families and individuals. We help them accomplish their goals by providing healthy meals and access to resources and services that are necessary to obtain and sustain a healthy life and better community.
We will defeat hunger by serving one family/individual at a time.
Our Community Programs
Mobile Food Pantry
We are available every other Sunday in front of the Cincinnati Public Library from 2pm – 4pm. We have dry foods and fresh produce for people to be able to take with them – as well as serve fresh, hot meals during these times.
Food Boxes
We deliver over 75 food boxes weekly (Mon-Fri) to needy families in the Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky area. These food boxes are filled with dry food, fresh produce, meats, and pastries. This helps the families/individuals be able to cook healthy meals.
Hot Meals
We are available every other Sunday in front of the Cincinnati Public Library from 2pm – 4pm serving hot meals and we have dry foods and fresh produce for people to be able to take with them.
We also cook and serve food the first Monday of every month at City Gospel Mission on Dalton Ave at 7pm.
Winter Coat Drives
Back to School Supply Events
For the last 3 years – Made for A Purpose gives 500 book bags every year to students in need of school supplies. We also provide local schools with supplies for their teachers that may need supplies to be successful in their classrooms.
During this event, we feed the families and have fun things for the families to do. We do this event to show the children that school is important and can be fun. To allow the families to enjoy themselves and connect as a community.
Easter Egg Hunts & Events
Every year, Made For a Purpose holds an annual Easter Event. Sometimes this event is held with another partnering organization and some years we solely have this event.
We provide Easter Baskets, we feed the families that attend the event as well as an exciting Easter Egg hunt. This is another way that we bring the community together.
Thanksgiving Drive & Food Boxes
We hold an Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive where we deliver 100 food boxes to local schools for families and we also serve 200 cooked meals to local Cincinnati residents
